Gli obiettivi
Il Centro Interdipartimentale di Ricerca I-APPROVE International Auditory Processing Project in Venice intende attivare le seguenti linee operative di ricerca (Research areas/themes):
a) Speech and music processing, recognition and artificial neural networks;
b) Auditory modeling and neural networks;
c) Auditory processing in elderly subjects, with normal hearing and with hearing loss;
d) Computational models of music perception and cognition;
e) Auditory-cognitive processing and relevance to clinical applicability;
f) Language, music and multimodality: relationships between cognitive, motor, linguistic and musical development in typical and atypical development.
g) Sensorineural hearing loss and developmental disorders: comorbidities and phenotypes;
h) Multifactorial study of the longitudinal impact of hearing loss and auditory processing disorders;
i) Neurocognitive functions and learning in hearing loss and auditory processing disorders
j) Speech perception in noise, cognitive development and learning;
k) Implicit and explicit memory and linguistic outcomes in children with prelingual heairng loss;
l) Software development for the assessment and training of verbal and musical perception skills.
